How It Works

The audit, in detail.

No new products. No recommendations to buy anything.

01
Scan your shelf.

Add the products you already own — by name, barcode, or ingredient list. The B&E Edit does not sell skincare and does not suggest you buy anything new. It audits what you have.

02
The audit runs.

Every product is cross-referenced against a conflict database built from peer-reviewed research. Incompatible pairs are flagged. The correct application sequence is determined. You receive a protocol, not a list of problems.

03
Follow the protocol.

A daily check-in adapts your sequence to your skin’s current state. If you have a professional treatment scheduled — laser, microneedling, a chemical peel — the app adjusts automatically and enforces a post-procedure lockout until your barrier has recovered.

The Edit

What the app does, precisely.

Conflict Detection
Your products, checked against each other.

A research-backed rule database identifies which ingredients in your collection are incompatible — in combination, in concentration, or in the order you’re applying them — and explains precisely why, with citations.

Protocol Sequencing
The correct order. Not a guess.

Application order determines whether your actives absorb, cancel, or compete. The Edit sequences your products from the correct base layer through to the final seal, with separate AM and PM protocols.

Post-Procedure Lockout
No actives. Not yet.

After laser, microneedling, or a chemical peel, your skin barrier is compromised. The Edit tracks your procedure date and automatically suspends actives for the appropriate recovery window. No guessing, no accidental damage.

Daily Check-In
Skin changes. The protocol does too.

A 60-second check-in registers your skin’s current state — sensitivity, breakout, dryness — and adjusts the sequence accordingly. Even your expensive serum needs a nap sometimes.
