Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of The B&E Edit app and website. By using either, you agree to them. The important parts are written plainly.
Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all users of The B&E Edit iOS application and website (beedit.skin), operated by Amanda Harris (“The B&E Edit,” “we,” or “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
What The B&E Edit Is — and Is Not
The B&E Edit is a skincare protocol tool. It detects ingredient conflicts in the products you already own, sequences your application protocol, and provides guidance on post-procedure skincare recovery.
The B&E Edit is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition or disease. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice. The conflict rules and protocol recommendations are informational only and are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed dermatologist or physician. If you have a medical concern about your skin, consult a doctor.
The B&E Edit makes no warranty that following the protocols provided will produce any particular result for your skin.
Accounts and Eligibility
- You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent
- One account per person
Subscriptions and Billing
The B&E Edit is available as a paid subscription, processed through the Apple App Store. The following terms apply:
- Free trial: A 14-day free trial is offered to new subscribers. Your payment method will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends.
- Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual). You authorise us to charge your payment method on file.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store policies.
- Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the new price.
All billing is governed by Apple’s App Store terms in addition to these Terms.
Free Audit Tier
A limited single-use conflict audit is available without a subscription, gated by email address. This free audit is provided once per email address and may not be used to circumvent the subscription requirement.
Affiliate Links
The B&E Edit participates in the Amazon Associates Program. When the app or website recommends a product to address a gap in your protocol, some recommendations may include affiliate links. If you purchase through an affiliate link, we receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products are recommended — recommendations are made based on ingredient compatibility with your protocol, not on commercial relationship.
All affiliate links are disclosed at the point of recommendation.
Your Content
The information you add to the app — your product shelf, skin condition flags, and procedure history — remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to use this data to operate the app and improve our conflict detection engine. We do not claim ownership of your content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any purpose that is unlawful or harmful
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our conflict rule database
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated tools to access the app or its data
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us
Intellectual Property
The B&E Edit name, wordmark, visual identity, conflict rule database, and all original content in the app and on beedit.skin are the property of Amanda Harris / The B&E Edit. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of these without written permission.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The app is provided “as is.” We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular audit result will be accurate for your specific situation. Skincare science is evolving, and our conflict rules reflect the current state of published research.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The B&E Edit’s liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the app after that date constitutes acceptance.
